Privacy Policy
The Vijayapura DCC Bank understands that customers’ personal information should be kept confidential unless they have offered specific consent to the financial services provider, or such information is required to be provided under the law, or it is provided for a mandated business purpose (for example, to credit information companies). The customer shall be informed upfront about such likely mandated business purposes. Customers have the right to protection from all kinds of communications, electronic or otherwise, which infringe upon their privacy.
This Privacy Policy is applicable to all services provided by the Bank, including digital platforms such as VDCCB Mobile Banking App and VDCCB Connect Sync E-edge App, ensuring the privacy and protection of user information across all channels.
In pursuance of the above right, the Bank will:
- The Vijayapura DCC Bank shall treat customer’s personal information as private and confidential (even when the customer is no longer banking with us), and, as a general rule, not disclose such information to any other individual/institutions including its subsidiaries/associates, tie-up institutions, etc., for any purpose unless:
- The customer has authorized such disclosure explicitly in writing
- Disclosure is compelled by law / regulation
- The Bank has a duty to the public to disclose, i.e., in public interest
- The Bank has to protect its interests through disclosure
- It is for a regulatory mandated business purpose such as disclosure of default to credit information companies or debt collection agencies
- VDCC Bank provides access to user information only to authorized employees. Such employees are bound by the rules and regulations of VDCC Bank and undertake to abide by this Privacy Policy even after cessation of employment.
- VDCC Bank respects the privacy of all its users and takes every effort to protect sensitive customer information across all its platforms, including VDCCB Mobile Banking App and VDCCB Connect Sync E-edge App. The Bank never seeks from its users any confidential/sensitive information such as PINs, passwords, CVV, expiry date, issue date, etc., through any channel. By registering your mobile number or email ID with the Bank or through its applications, you consent to receive communications strictly for banking and service-related purposes.
- Users authorize VDCC Bank to exchange/share/part with user information with its affiliates, financial institutions, banks, credit bureaus, telecommunication agencies, electronic clearing networks, or other entities as may be required by law, credit reporting, customary practices, statistical analysis, credit scoring, or for operational purposes of services offered through VDCCB Mobile Banking App and VDCCB Connect Sync E-edge App. The users shall not hold VDCC Bank liable for disclosure of such information in these circumstances.
